Who is Al Khwarizmi: The A.K.I.C. Version

Al Khwarizmi
Abu Jafa Muhammad Ibn Musa Al Khwarizmi was a great Muslim scholar, known today as the the "Father of Modern Mathematics". He formalized the Araic numeral system (1, 2, 3, 4, ...) introduced both the ZERO (0) and the decimal (0.0) concepts, and most importantly invented Algebra (Al Gebr). Algorithm, being the Latinized version of his name, Al Khwarizmi was a leading light in the Baitul Ilm (House of Wisdom) estalished by Caliph Mamun, son of Saliph Harun Al Rashid, in Baghdad, Iraq, sometime after the death of the Prophet of Islam Peace Be Upon Him.
